PORTLAND, OR – December 14, 2018 – EmPower Nursing & Allied Solutions today announced it has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Health Care Staffing Services Certification. The certification demonstrates EmPower Nursing & Allied Solutions commitment to providing qualified and competent health care professionals.

EmPower Nursing & Allied Solutions underwent a rigorous onsite review on December 7, 2018. Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with national standards that assess how health care staffing firms determine the qualifications and competency of staff, placement of staff, and how they monitor performance. All certified health care staffing organizations are required to collect data on their own performance.

Health care staffing firms place temporary staff in organizations that direct or provide patient care. Established in October 2004, Health Care Staffing Services Certification, awarded for a two-year period, offers an independent and comprehensive evaluation of a staffing firm’s abilities to provide competent staffing services.

“EmPower Nursing & Allied Solutions has demonstrated its commitment to providing quality health care staffing services to health care organizations as evidenced by its achievement of Joint Commission certification,” said Patrick Phelan, executive director, Hospital Business Development, The Joint Commission. “We recognize EmPower Nursing & Allied Solutions for its efforts to provide a safe, high-quality standard of service.”

“We recognized late last year, that it would be advantageous for our nurses, clients and our organization to be Joint Compliance certified,” added CEO, Dawn Whitney of EmPower Nursing & Allied Solutions. “We also recognized it was going to be a laborious process and would take a considerable amount of work to get to this point. To say that this was an unbelievable accomplishment for EmPower Nursing and Allied Solutions is an understatement. We are extremely proud of the work that our entire team put into the efforts of certification.  A special thank you to our nurses and clients who were interviewed by our auditor as to our professionalism, integrity and performance.  Because of their candid feedback/support and the outstanding work of my entire nursing team, we were able to become certified on the spot.  As we approach our 3 year anniversary, I am filled with pride and gratitude to serve this unbelievable community of nurses”
